Around the World

Recently the Storm Interns went on a world tour with Storm gear on. The reason was to promote the team in other areas of the world and to encourage other people from all over to send in their pictures wearing storm gear around the world. Click on the images to see the whole picture. To send in your pictures please e-mail them to Kyle at khanrahan@stormbaseball.com.

Mike Festa, Ticket Office Intern, went running... with the bulls that is. On a trip to Spain Mike found himself wearing the right logo, but the wrong colors. Good thing he played sports in college.
Kyle Hanrahan, Merchandising Intern, recently challanged Michael Phelps to a breast stroke competition in his kiddy pool in the backyard of the Intern House. Needless to say Phelps had gotten out, ate lunch, took a nap and and swam another lap before Kyle even got started. Someone forgot to tell Kyle he didn't know how to swim though, and Michael Phelps had to save him from drowning... what a great guy.
Ashley Lane, Game Ops Intern, took a trip to see Barack Obama. However she was stopped by security quickly after trying to put a pie in his face. In a later statement Lane said, "He looked hungry, and I had a pie... you do the math."
Steve Smaldone, Media Intern, and Mike Festa, Ticket office Intern took on a challenge that not many people have been able to do, block Olympic Basketball Star LeBron James. Once this death defying feet was initiated there was no turning back. It's too bad that neither Mike or Steve were lucky enough to be blessed with height as children, so in order to compensate for LeBron's height and massive vertical, Steve got on Mike's shoulders and Mike wore moon shoes while jumping on a trampelene. Both are in the ICU in Cleveland.
Kyle, that wacky merchandising intern is at it again. This time he went climbing with some koala bears in New Zealand. Kyle forgot that Koala's can be very dangerous when there comfort zones are breached. Kyle now has to walk with a cane after a Koala Bear leaped at him while they were at the top of a 30 foot tree. Luckily Kyle's hair wasn't hurt in the fall.
Building pyramids... it's not that tough. The interns and Pat Gardenier, Director of Mascots and chaperone to the interns while they went on their trip to Egypt, built there own pyramid. You can never leave interns unattended.
Entertainment Intern, Robby decided to be a little lazy while the interns were in France. He was looking to take out his longboard and skate around France, however there are too many hills, and Robby doesn't like to walk much. He then saw a bunch of bikers riding by and proceeded to "hitch" a ride with one of them. Later the biker said "It was a great challenge for me to drag a two ton elephant behind me... oh wait that was a guy on a skateboard?"
Media Intern Steve, decided to go for a hike... up Mount Everest. However once he reached the top he realized that he was terrified of heights and refuses to come down. He now lives with a hermit in a cave a top the massive mountain. No one has heard or spoke to him since he left.
